Are you an ambitious AI/ML Engineer or Data Analyst ready to make a real impact? This full-time role puts you at the heart of groundbreaking work in medical AI, and is an exciting opportunity to grow fast, build meaningful technology, and help shape the future of eyecare.
Care1 is a revenue-generating medical AI and technology company that is changing the way eye doctors think about patient care.
Our cloud-based software connects eye doctors (ophthalmologists and optometrists) allowing them to screen, diagnose, and treat patients remotely. We also label, train, fine tune and implement deep learning AI models for the automatic detection and treatment of complex eyecare diseases via a variety of modern diagnostic technologies including 3-dimensional photos of the eye, ocular coherence tomography and peripheral visual field testing. Over the past decade we have grown Care1 to integrate with over 200 eye doctors across Canada, who have used our platform to deliver care to over 150,000 patients. This makes the Care1 network one of the largest teleophthalmology networks worldwide.
Our vision is to become the leading eyecare technology platform in the world.
We are seeking a highly versatile AI/ML Engineer or Data Analyst to drive end-to-end development of cutting-edge AI models in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You'll lead projects spanning from literature review, research, training, fine-tuning, validation, and ML Ops... all the way to deployment onto our platform. Projects are rapid and iterative, typically 2 weeks in duration, and will involve utilizing a diverse set of the most modern technologies.
This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as the primary full-time member of our science team, leading AI initiatives at the core of our mission. You'll be supported closely by two part-time senior machine learning engineers and collaborate with our engineering, technical, operations, and clinical teams. You'll work directly with visionary medical doctors and surgeons to brainstorm ideas about how to leverage AI into medical eyecare. Your work will contribute directly to real-world solutions that directly improve vision care for patients.
