Description
As a licensed M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with one or more years of experience working on large aircraft, you're looking for an opportunity that leverages your experience and gives you more autonomy! This position will support our UK operations and see you complete rotations within the UK for 5 weeks on/5 weeks off.
Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation. As we expand our fleet and enter new markets to support our growing client base, we are seeking AME's to join our team. Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance on fleet aircraft or aircraft components in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness.
- Troubleshoot faulty systems.
- Track and plan maintenance activities and coordinate with Dispatch as required.
- Maintain spares package through communication with stores department.
- Maintain aircraft records using computerized maintenance tracking system.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all required paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of licensed AME experience, preferably working with larger aircraft.
- Possess Transport Canada AME License M1.
- Previous experience working on the D228 or SC-7 Skyvan will be of distinct advantage in the position.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proven observational, decision-making and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership skills.
Work Conditions:
- This position is to support our UK operations and will be on a rotation of 5 weeks on 5 weeks off to the UK. All travel, accommodations and a per diem for meals will be provided.
