What you'll be doing
The Chief Administration Office works directly with both Personal and Business Banking (PBB) and Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management (CBWM) to support their operational activities and enable their growth aspirations through strong delivery rigor and strategic enablement. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Enablement (Business Architecture), you will be responsible for overseeing methodologies and tools, managing KPIs, augmenting emerging business architecture capabilities, and ensuring the effective delivery of embedded practices.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed

Business Architecture -- Develop, implement, and continuously improve business architecture methodologies and tools. Ensure methodologies and tools align with organizational standards and industry best practices. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance business architecture practices. Ensure business architecture practices are effectively embedded within delivery teams. Provide guidance and oversight to delivery teams to maintain alignment with strategic objectives. Conduct regular reviews of delivery practices to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement best practices for embedding business architecture within delivery teams. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business architecture initiatives. Track and analyze KPI data to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Identify areas for improvement based on KPI analysis and implement corrective actions. Prepare regular reports on KPI performance for senior leadership. Document and maintain a repository of business architecture methodologies and tools. Support the successful execution of business architecture initiatives by providing expertise and guidance.

Relationship Management -- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback from stakeholders. Function as a liaison between business architecture and other teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for business architecture initiatives. Facilitate communication and collaboration between business architecture and delivery teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business units, technology, and process optimization teams.

Continuous Improvement \& Optimization -- Continuously evaluate and refine business architecture methodologies and tools. Seek opportunities to enhance internal efficiencies and improve business effectiveness. Implement process improvements to streamline business architecture practices. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in business architecture practices. Develop and implement training programs to build business architecture expertise. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in business architecture.

You can demonstrate experience. In Business Architecture practices, work experience in business architecture environments, with a solid understanding of financial services principles. Ability to develop and implement business architecture frameworks and methodologies. Demonstrated ability to oversee and improve business architecture methodologies and tools. Proficiency in using business architecture tools and software.

You can demonstrate knowledge. Knowledge of business process management (BPM) and enterprise architecture (EA) principles. Familiarity with capability modeling, value streams, and process architecture. Understanding of customer experience (CX) principles and practices.
