Olympic Homes continues to grow so we are adding an Assistant Supervisor to our team who will report to the Construction Manager and Operations Manager of the division. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone eager to grow and build their career with a dynamic and growth-oriented company. The Assistant Supervisor will work along with our Project Management team to coordinate and supervise the day-to-day construction activities for our homes throughout the build.
We provide stable year-round work, on the job training and consistent Monday to Friday weekday hours. During your workday we provide a heated/cooled office area including a desk, computer and company cell phone. The majority of our homes are built at our Winnipeg facility so travel to jobs sites is kept to a minimum. And when you do need to go to the job site, we have company vehicles available for you to use instead of beating up your own.
Duties
- Responsible for supporting daily operations and activities of multiple projects
- Ensure Health \& Safety regulations are practiced at all times.
- Inspect trade work along with Construction Supervisor for quality control program
- Work with the team to answer trades questions about construction details
- Maintain a positive relationship with all staff and sub trades using good communication skills
- Conduct site walk-thru during construction along with the Construction Supervisor
- Coordinate material shipments in conjunction with the Construction Supervisor
Qualifications
- 6 months - 2 years or more of residential construction experience
- Proficient overall computer \& technology experience
- Able to work alone, as well with others in group settings
- Effective communication and customer service excellence
- Ability to use basic hand \& power tools is an asset
- Ability to read architectural \& structural drawings an asset
- Previous experience using project management software an asset
