On this role you will be reporting to Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility's electric and electronic equipment. Through routine and non -- routine maintenance this position ensures the department is run to maximize quality, safety and productivityDutiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical/electronic systems, including packaging equipment and control devices. Inspect systems to ensure safety and compliance; interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs and recipes; conduct infrared electrical inspections. Install, maintain, and repair motors, generators, alternators, batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems. Document work, update maintenance records in CMMS, specify and order parts, and maintain accurate inventory control.
Participate in root cause investigations and follow maintenance SOPs. Support unplanned repairs, preventative maintenance, and assigned projects. Other duties and projects as assigned by Maintenance ManagerSafety responsibilities
Complies with all company safety policies as well as provincial and local regulations, with the support and guidance of Corporate SHEQ authorities.Completes risk assessments
Completes all safe work permits.ExperienceProven experience working at heights/Fall Arrest442A license required.Comprehensive knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.Post-secondary education an asset.High School diploma a must.Minimum 5 years' extensive experience in an electrical maintenance position, within a packaging manufacturing environment
Physical CompetenciesStanding; Bending; Lifting (up to 50 lbs.); Pushing; Pulling; Crouching; Reaching; Repetitive Motions.Must be physically fit to repetitively walk up and down stairs, and throughout plant.Must be available to work on the day shift from 7am - 3pm, however, the candidate must also be flexible to work extended hours, up to maximum of 12 hours per day
