This role involves designing, integrating, and optimizing electromechanical systems across various manufacturing processes and custom equipment. The ideal candidate will work closely with AOI, controls, mechanical, and process teams to ensure seamless communication and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand and implement project requirements.
- Design and integrate electromechanical systems, including sensors, actuators, and control software for manufacturing processes.
- Act as a bridge between engineering departments (mechanical, optical, quality, and software) to facilitate clear communication and system optimization.
- Support senior engineers in driving initiatives and provide updates on mechanical, electrical, and software progress.
- Work with manufacturing teams to optimize process flow and improve production efficiency.
- Design fixtures and mechanical structures to enhance throughput and reliability.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and oversee testing and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Develop current collectors, PCBAs, and flexible printed circuit (FPC) solutions for battery pack applications.
- Analyze production and experimental data to drive process improvements.
- Prepare well-organized presentations for internal and client-facing meetings.
Qualifications \& Skills:
- Mechanical Design: Experience with fixtures, tooling, manufacturing equipment, design for manufacturing (DFM), FEA, CAD (SolidWorks/Catia), and GD\&T.
- Electrical Design: Knowledge of power electronics, sensors, microcontrollers, analog circuits, and electrical test equipment.
- Software \& Programming: Basic proficiency in C, C , C#, or Python for automation and system integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure smooth collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
Bonus Points if you have Mandarin Chinese language skills.
