What You'll Be Doing: Senior Learning and Development Specialist
Program Development (80%)
- Conduct an analysis of the learning needs for each program, and adjust the choice of instructional content to achieve the desired outcomes
- Use collaborative work principles with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to determine and manage program objectives, content and review cycle
- Focus on selection and organization of content, methodologies, and activities in order to create a Training design/plan that demonstrates effective transfer of knowledge and skills-based training, involving different types of learners
- Support the creation and maintenance of instructional content and training programs with a focus on sustainability
- Adapt writing and speaking to a specific medium / audience and demonstrate technical writing skills to provide effective and valid instructions as needed
- Stay up to date on recent instructional design tools and new instructional principles
Reporting \& Training (20%)
- Conducting research and interpreting findings to establish best practices and gaps to help form scalable solutions.
- Conducting evaluations to identify and track key metrics in order to determine the overall effectiveness of programs and provide recommendations based on evaluation of results that support Sienna's strategic business objectives
- Devise modes of assessment and interactions (tests, quizzes etc.) to ensure optimum efficacy and measurement of learning
- Organizing, preparing and facilitating onsite and virtual training sessions as needed.
Experience And Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in instructional design, organizational development and/or facilitation, ideally in soft skills or leadership development.
- Experience working with e-learning authoring tools is considered an asset.
- Proficient with ADDIE/SAM design processes.
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Eagerness to incorporate new adult learning trends into program design.
- Creative attitude and confident mindset.
- Project management experience.
- University degree/certificate in Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Development or other relevant discipline.
