Who we are looking for:
We're seeking a strategic, data-driven, and creatively-minded VP of Marketing to lead our end-to-end marketing efforts across growth and retention. This role is responsible for overseeing a multi-channel strategy---including paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, content, social media, creative, and CRO---to accelerate customer acquisition, maximize LTV, and strengthen brand equity. You'll work cross-functionally to scale a high-performing marketing org and deliver measurable impact on business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition \& Growth Marketing
- Own and collaborate with department heads on customer acquisition strategies across paid media (Meta, Google, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), SEO, influencer marketing, and partnerships.
- Own and manage performance marketing KPIs (CAC, ROAS, MER) and continually optimize campaigns to meet growth targets.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop high-converting ad creatives tailored for each platform.
- Oversee website CRO strategy and A/B testing roadmap to improve conversion rates and on-site experience.
Retention \& Lifecycle Marketing
- Lead the retention marketing team in building email/SMS flows, campaigns, and segmentation strategies to drive engagement, increase repeat purchases, and LTV.
- Ensure messaging, offers, and timing are optimized across the customer journey---from onboarding to reactivation.
- Leverage tools like Klaviyo and analytics platforms to monitor performance and improve key retention metrics (repeat purchase rate, AOV, LTV, etc.).
Brand \& Content Strategy
- Partner closely with the Art Director to maintain a consistent and elevated brand presence across all touchpoints.
- Oversee the content and social media strategy to strengthen community, engagement, and organic reach.
- Ensure that all creative---from email to ads to web---aligns with brand standards while meeting performance goals.
Team Leadership \& Collaboration
- Build and manage a high-performing team across growth, lifecycle, content, and creative.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, web, CX, and the operations team to ensure alignment on goals, campaigns, and priorities.
- Foster a culture of data-informed experimentation, creative excellence, and continuous improvement.
Experience \& Qualifications:
An ideal candidate:
- 8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing both acquisition and retention.
- Proven success scaling growth channels in an eCommerce, DTC, or Agency environment.
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing across digital channels, with hands-on experience optimizing CAC, ROAS, LTV, AOV, etc.
- Strong understanding of email/SMS marketing strategy and platforms like Klaviyo.
- Experience collaborating closely with creative teams to develop and iterate on high-performing assets.
- Familiarity with CRO principles, A/B testing tools (e.g., Convert), and web analytics (GA4, Hotjar, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data, building dashboards, and informing decisions with performance metrics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Passion for brand storytelling, customer experience, and marrying creativity with performance.
