The Opportunity
Are you a brand-obsessed designer who loves building sleek, responsive websites and crafting compelling visual narratives across platforms? Do you want your work to move beyond static visuals and into campaigns that shape public opinion, drive engagement, and deliver real impact?
Sussex Strategy Group is looking for a Brand and Webflow Designer to bring bold ideas and beautiful execution to our digital public affairs campaigns. You'll be at the intersection of design and advocacy --- building small to large-scale websites, designing ad creative, and developing visual identities that help our clients advance policy goals, tell powerful stories, and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
If you're fluent in Webflow, energized by collaboration, and love seeing your designs out in the real-world making change --- this role is for you.
Our team focuses primarily on purpose-driven campaigns -- including public policy initiatives, non-profit campaigns, issue and idea branding, and corporate social responsibility projects. We combine strategic thinking with sharp creative execution to help our clients move the dial.
This role can be based in either Toronto or Ottawa.
Ways You Can Contribute
- Lead the brand, creative and web design needs for multiple high-profile public affairs clients and campaigns.
- Design and develop responsive, interactive Webflow websites from scratch based on our clients' needs and maintain or enhance our existing Webflow projects.
- Create campaign creative and supporting materials, including social and digital ad assets, infographics, print and OOH collateral, presentation decks, and reports.
- Bring a design-thinking mindset to support campaign ideation, client strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in web and brand design, with significant experience using Webflow.
- A portfolio that showcases your end-to-end design capabilities across websites, brand systems, and marketing collateral.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Afte Effects) and strong comfort with Figma (or Sketch and XD) for rapid prototyping.
- Experience with web-based tools and integrations (i.e. Zapier, Make, Mailchimp, Typeform).
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, basic JavaScript, and integrating code snippets.
- Experience in motion/animation, 3D graphic design, print design, digital video editing and production, and building websites using the Client-First style system for Webflow is considered a strong asset.
Pay Grade: $85,000 - $100,000
