Role description:
At Arcadis, our Document Controllers are an integral part of our project delivery teams, utilizing their expertise to help the company deliver client success. You will have the opportunity to work on unique and leading-edge projects with a local focus to make a global difference.
This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today's mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world's growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role Accountabilities:
In this role, you will follow the processes and principles of the company's document procedures related to Civil Engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include keeping records, creating document logs of project details, meeting minutes, technical specifications, and drawings, as well as archiving, controlling, and retrieving records as needed. You will scan, image, index, and organise documents while classifying, sorting, and categorising them according to the project document control system. Additionally, you will control the issuance of documents and ensure proper approval is obtained. Reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy, performing quality checks in line with document control processes, will also be an essential part of your duties. Furthermore, you will handle file migration tasks, assist in auditing, and provide status reports on documentation to track progress within the workflow. Maintaining logs for Requests for Information (RFIs) and distributing RFI responses as appropriate will round out your responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and / or Diploma in Information Management
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in the Civil Engineering sector, ideally Transportation
- Involvement with large and complex projects from concept to delivery -- P3 experience would be desirable
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot while handling multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy when in contact with complex and sensitive documents
- Self-directed - the ability to work independently and used to working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Stay focused and carry out their tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to interact and coordinate with internal and external business partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills -- both verbal and written
- Preferable to have experience working on construction sites
- Experienced with EDMS (SharePoint, Aconex, ProCore)

The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $99,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
