Job Title: Project Manager with QA
Contract Duration: 156 weeks
Work Mode: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on site(250 Bloor St E, Toronto)
Hours per day: 7 hours
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) to lead and deliver software and IT projects with a focus on quality, timelines, and stakeholder satisfaction. This role bridges technical knowledge and leadership, ensuring that projects are not only completed on time and within scope, but also meet high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of IT/software projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Leverage prior QA experience to ensure robust quality standards are built into the delivery process.
- Coordinate with QA teams to define test strategy, timelines, and resource needs.
- Identify, man
- age, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure alignment between development, QA, and business requirements.
- Drive defect triage meetings and support test execution phases (SIT/UAT).
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in QA and in project or program management.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (manual and automation).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Asana).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certifications.
- ISTQB or QA-related certifications.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, or government).
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks
