About the role:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using WebdriverIO or similar test automation tools.
- Writing and executing automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Debugging issues, analyzing test results, and providing feedback to improve product quality.
- Working with developers to identify and implement test strategies for new features.
- Ensuring test automation best practices are followed, including test reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and story grooming to ensure test coverage is aligned with business goals.
- Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports.
- Advocating for testability, automation, and quality in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Assisting in the implementation of shift-left testing strategies to catch defects early in the development cycle.
You bring:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing or software development.
- Strong experience with WebdriverIO or similar test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for developing test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Appium for native and hybrid iOS and Android app testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify, report, and resolve defects effectively.
- Experience with API testing frameworks such as Mocha, Supertest, or Postman.
- Strong database and SQL query skills.
- Advanced experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Familiarity with various testing tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of AWS products and services.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and experience testing Ruby on Rails applications.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs or LambdaTest.
- ISTQB certification
- Passion for building scalable and efficient test automation solutions
