The Intermediate Interior Designer will be responsible for leading design initiatives, driving projects to meet deadlines and budgets, and participate in the development process from concept to construction. The PositionParticipates in the design development process from concept through construction. Coordinates with all involved parties from procurement through installation. Prepares and presents design presentations.
Manages all project documentation. Details material specifications, finishes and fixtures, sources FFE.Drafts and prepares plans and specifications in collaboration with vendors. Ensures projects meet deadlines.
Conducts site visits and communicates updates and progress. Out of province travel and coordinating FFE.Manages RFI's and contract administration. The Requirements List the technical requirements for the position in point form.
Include any notable assets for the position. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, or combination of education and experience, CIDA accreditation.5 years of experience in a studio setting or similar design environment. Strong technical abilities, must demonstrate the ability to produce clear drawings that effectively communicate intent.
Experience with contract administration, RFI's is an asset. Excellent communication skills. AutoCAD is required, and Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
Prior experience in both residential and commercial is an asset. Shop drawing submittal review experience is an asset. Must have a valid Driver's License and be able willing to travel on site around the Lower Mainland.
Ability to travel on occasion. Must submit a portfolio that includes technical drawings in order to be considered. Please note that applicants who do not include a portfolio will not be contacted.
CompensationAnnual salary $70,000 - $90,000. Comprehensive benefits plan.3 weeks vacation.
