Job Description
AECOM Engineering Intern Burnaby, BC
This is a 4 month term that will begin in May 2025.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist the Project Coordinator with transportation projects .
- Provide project coordination assistance for design and construction of infrastructure projects to support project managers with ensuring delivery of design deliverables.
- Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks.
- Under supervision, work with 3rd parties and client organizations
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Processes documents (including indexing into database and/or enterprise content management system).
- May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.
- Typical duties will include:
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
- Monitor project costs and budgets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.
- Set up new projects and track monthly billing.
- Prepare project schedules and monitor progress of work.
- Review and compile client submittals
- Assist with the preparation of technical specifications and bid documents
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must currently be in a relevant Civil Engineering Degree
- Must have completed two years of study in the relevant Engineering degree
