We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Business Analyst with expertise in the insurance domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
They will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and ensuring successful delivery of solutions tailored to the insurance industry. Key ResponsibilitiesRequirement Gathering and AnalysisCollaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
Create use cases, user stories, and process flows. Insurance Domain ExpertiseProvide in-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including underwriting, claims processing, policy administration, and compliance. Understand and analyze industry trends, regulations, and market demands.
Solution DesignWork with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet business requirements. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals. Stakeholder ManagementAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients. Process ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend enhancements. Conduct gap analysis and propose innovative solutions.
Documentation and ReportingMaintain comprehensive documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and test cases. Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and analysis to stakeholders. Testing and Quality AssuranceCollaborate with QA teams to define test strategies and validate solutions.
Participate in UAT and ensure that solutions meet business expectations. Qualifications and SkillsEducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent (preferred).
Experience13 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in the insurance domain. Proven track record in working with life, health, property, or casualty insurance systems. Technical SkillsProficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and Excel.
Familiarity with insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar). Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI). Soft SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively. Certifications (Preferred)Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA.
