ROLE \& RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible of reconciling schedules by communicating with business units.
- Monthly Journal entry postings and Month-end tasks.
- Processing daily sales information.
- Document filing.
- Reconcile various account balances.
- Prepare journal entries for both day-to-day and month-end banking transactions including complex transactions
- Reconcile and post daily cash receipts
- Prepare daily deposits and reconcile cash temp accounts
- Post warranty payments from manufacturers
- Assist car-desk with various tasks, including deals posting and reviewing.
- Month end and year end close
- Assist with any other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Familiarity and experience with CDK is a plus
- Previous accounting experience is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Works well to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and display an exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills \& ability to work in a team environment
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
- Automotive experience using CDK and Reynolds \& Reynolds would be an asset
