As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will have the primary focus of providing operational and strategic consultative support to leaders and their teams on people strategies that are aligned with business objectives. Here's What You'll Get To Do:
- Support the operational and strategic objectives of the Hospital through the provision of best-practice human resource advice.
- Provide guidance, advisory and consultative services to assigned portfolio, supporting decision-making with advice/solutions crafted to meet current and future business needs. Prioritize understanding portfolio's business and needs in order to provide the best strategic guidance and partnership.
- Assist in aligning human resource strategy with business priorities to drive results.
- Provide active coaching, program/policy support, education, issues management, solution-based problem solving and strategy development support.
- Engage in projects and other macro-level organizational initiatives in addition to providing direct consultative support in areas such as: employee/labour relations; resource and workforce planning; change management; attrition/retention; compensation and benefits; performance management; conflict investigation and resolution; employment terminations; organizational and job design; restructuring and health and absence management.
Here's What You'll Need:
- University degree and/or post graduate certificate in Human Resources Management and/or Industrial/Labour Relations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in human resources consulting.
- Demonstrated research, analytical and probing skills to seek out and obtain information from a diverse cross section of sources.
- Strong negotiation and alternative dispute resolution skills, coupled with a proven ability in using collaborative and interest-based approaches to successfully foster and maintain relationships.
- Demonstrated excellence in presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
- Sound professional judgment, confidentiality, problem solving and diplomacy.
- Ability to balance and manage multiple interests, using superior consultative skills, in order to influence sound business decision-making.
- Strong time-management, planning and organizational skills to manage work, competing deadlines and assigned projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of human resources best practices and theory including knowledge and understanding of relevant employment legislation and collective agreements.
- Experience in a health care and/or public sector environment is an asset.
