About the Role:
We are seeking aBilingual Pension Analyst to be the front-line pension administrator responsible for providing employers with technical support and guidance to facilitate the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan.
As part of the Employer Services team, you will support the contribution reconciliation process and the annual data collection of member data, and contribute to annual member statement activities.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:
- Manage relationships with several assigned employers to develop strong working relationships by responding to questions and providing day-to-day technical support
- Conduct monthly status meetings with assigned employers to track and resolve any issues while achieving a high level of client satisfaction
- Plan and participate in structured education and training sessions for Employers
- Support required system updates and identify opportunities to streamline and improve the effectiveness of the pension administration process
- Partner with other members of the Employer Services department to review activities, controls, service deliverables, and workflows to identify areas for process improvement
To Succeed, You Bring:
- A College Diploma or University Degree in Finance, Business, or another relevant field
- Designation in CEBS, PPAC, or CBP is an asset
- Minimum two (2) years experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider; understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts
- Experience in processing and completing transaction activities including terminations, retirements, deaths, transfers, service purchases (buybacks) and pension estimates
- Experience with processing year-end statement activities
- Proficiency in French, both written and verbal, is required
- Excellent analytical skills, with a mathematical aptitude
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of applicable pension legislation and regulations
- A customer service-oriented approach with robust relationship-building skills
- An ability to effectively multi-task and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
