Route 504 PR is now accepting applications for an experienced Senior Publicity Coordinator. We are a small and enthusiastic team willing to go above and beyond for our clients. We are looking for a media-savvy superstar to join us in the exciting world of entertainment publicity and promotion.
We have a wide variety of clients in film, TV \& small business but our main focus is indie film. Collectively we have represented hundreds (ok, thousands) of films from festival circuit through to theatrical and VOD/Digital releases. Being a movie-lover is essential!
This is no ordinary gig. On any given day, you'll find us on red carpets wrangling media, handling talent through press days, establishing meaningful and mutually beneficial working relationships with entertainment media and ensuring our films are at the top of everyone's must-watch lists.
Currently, we are working hybrid with two days in the office at Front \& Blue Jay Way, but we frequently meet up for interviews, events \& screenings.
Duties \& Assignments:
- Update the press site with stills and other film materials
- Pitch, track, and disseminate screening links for review press
- Pitch interviews for junkets or local press days
- Book and execute phone/zoom/in person interviews with talent
- Monitor our film titles for coverage and send out press breaks to clients
- Research publicity opportunities and organizational partnerships
- Write publicity reports for client post-mortems
- Manage event listings for various industry events and screenings
- Assist in the planning and execution of press days and other publicity events
- Update and maintain influencer and content creator database
- Staying up to date with industry trends and events
- Assist with special events as needed (TIFF, CSAs, screenings etc.)
- Other communications and administration duties as required
Strong Skills Required: organizational, interpersonal, writing, attention to detail, ability to work independently and to problem solve quickly
Qualifications:
- MUST LOVE MOVIES
- 2-4 years of experience working in communications, public relations, media or equivalent
- Knowledge of Canadian film media and influencer landscape
- Proven ability to secure media and influencer opportunities
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week
- Desire to learn and grow within the entertainment industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Drive Suite/Canva
Pay: $40,000 - $50,000 per year
