THUNDER BAY REGIONAL HEALTH SCIENCES CENTRE
Reporting to the Manager - Cardiology \& General Medicine, the Ward Clerk will be responsible for providing a full range of clerical support services for the 2C - Medical Unit.
Qualifications:
- Client-focused communication skills; good interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills
- Demonstrated good time management skills
- Ability to multi-task to ensure an effective clerical work flow process on a busy patient care unit
- Demonstrated ability to assist with unit budget process by utilizing effective supply purchase and inventory control
- Initiative with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, processing medical orders, payroll, admission and discharge, and transfer process
- Previous experience with gathering and compiling statistical data
- Must have computer experience particularly in the area of data compilation and entry
- Meditech training and competency in order entry in an electronic format is required
Salary Range: $26.588 to 27.221
