Quincaillerie Richelieu is currently looking for a Production manager for the Dollard-des-Ormeaux site. The incumbent will be responsible for USCAN operations within Reliable/Richelieu, ensuring their management and aiming to achieve business and financial objectives. They will report to the Director of Sales and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all stakeholders comply with action plans and related deadlines in order to achieve profitability objectives
- Motivate and lead a team of 2 supervisors (1 day and 1 evening) and a night team leader;
- Manage all human, material and financial resources:
- Analyze performance indicators and implement corrective measures to increase productivity and profitability:
- Provide training and development of staff in relation to their roles and responsibilities, manage performance:
- Maintain a balanced workload by evaluating operations throughout the day and readjusting staffing levels as necessary;
- Assess staffing needs for periods of high traffic;
- Negotiate new contractual agreements with suppliers and carriers as well as renewals;
- Develop and implement solutions for process improvement:
- Manage health and safety;
- Liaise with departments, including customer service, sales, traffic, and procurement;
- Participate in various management meetings;
- Participate in various special projects aimed at continuous improvement;
- Other tasks related to operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in operations management or any other related discipline;
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a similar position acquired in large distribution centers;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment;
- Strong leadership, good team player and excellent communication skills;
- Logical thinking and operational flexibility to cope with change;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Experience in distribution in a multi-site environment (an asset) The ideal candidate:
- Oral and written communication skills
- Sense of and interest in the technical aspects of products (screws, bolts and other specialized fasteners)
- Good analytical, planning, organizational and monitoring skills
- Customer service oriented and attentive to the needs of employees
- Ability to convince people, train and coach teams
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Good sense of organization and prioritization, carries out rigorous follow-ups on files
- Leader and innovator in their field of expertise
- Proficiency in MS Office and other software. Ex: As401
- Bilingual (French and English), both oral and written
