Business Overview:
Part of Credit \& Portfolio Management Americas, Loan Transaction Coordination is a transversal team serving the CIB Americas Corporate Platform while focusing on three key missions:
- Serve as the first level of control to safeguard the Bank by applying effective, accurate and timely controls to address regulatory, compliance, operational and credit risks.
- Provide client service and transaction execution support to facilitate best-in-class solutions for our clients.
- Perform tasks requiring situational banker support, complex transaction management, and specialized sector knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide situational banker/credit support for managing new and existing client relationships and execution of transactions for Global Banking- Corporate Clients.
As a Banker Support Analyst, employee would demonstrate the following competencies:
New Deal Support (includes but not limited to):
- Create groups, attach/detach legal entities, update the client coverage, and check for Relationship Manager's presence in new accounts.
- Analyze the data behind the newly opened accounts and remediate the deficiencies flagged by RDQP as they relate to feed breaks.
- Work along foreign client's Branches to put Swingline Accommodation in place for New York. At closing, Banker support will prepare a Swingline Accommodation Form signed by the Coverage RM and Loan Servicing and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Ongoing Deal Maintenance (includes but not limited to):
- Submit forms in internal platforms to preserve the integrity of the data in local systems.
- Preserve the integrity of the data in global repository system, including change of legal name, amendment of management entities and client coverage, merger, and absorptions/duplicates.
- Manage Economic Dependency to link a legal entity to a Business Group.
- Keep accurate list of all swingline accommodations at Client NY and action all necessary steps to complete their annual reviews and/or event driven review (i.e. refinancing).
- Assist with all inquiries related to credit lines, KYC status retrieval, outstanding, fees and any issues that arise regarding data requests (referential, risk, transactional etc.).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in other data collection and ad hoc projects as needed.
- Responsible for fostering ideas proactively to improve the Loan Transaction Coordination teams, to efficiently achieve its missions and add value to the Corporate Platform.
- Engage with relevant team leaders and stakeholders and contribute to the implementation of these ideas as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree with a major in Finance/Data analytics/Data science preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge in Corporate Banking products, a plus.
- Advanced level in Microsoft Word, Excel (VBA an asset).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Work collaboratively within the team.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and flexibility in changing work environment.
- Strong attention to details.
- Data Analytics and/or Data Management skills an asset.
