Finance Manager
The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting functions. This role is responsible for delivering the annual financial plan while contributing to the company's global objectives. As a key member of the leadership team, the Finance Manager provides strategic financial advice and reports directly to the Business Development Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Monitor variances, analyze financial performance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP, J-SOX, and government regulations.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, audits, and intercompany transactions.
- Conduct financial evaluations for new product launches and discontinuations.
- Support business functions (Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales) with financial insights.
IT \& Systems
- Oversee ERP system implementation and management.
- Manage IT infrastructure with external vendors for hardware, software, and networks.
Leadership \& People Development
- Lead and develop a team, including a General Accountant and an Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance development support.
- Contribute to company-wide meetings and strategic planning initiatives.
Skills \& Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of financial management experience
- Designation: CPA (CMA, CGA, or CA).
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
- Competencies: Detail-oriented, analytical, strategic thinker with excellent time management.
- Type: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week), Monday--Friday (8:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.)
- Work Setup: 4 days on-site, 1-day hybrid
- Compensation: $100,000 annually + RRSP (6% employer contribution)
- Benefits: Full benefits package + 3 weeks' vacation
