Essential Responsibilities
- Consolidate financial information, manage supporting schedules, and record transactions related to the monthly financial close for various components of the general ledger
- Lead all aspects of reporting, returns, fillings and payments related to Canadian sales taxes
- Monitor and manage intercompany royalties, charges, balances and settlements
- Assist in the collection of financial information and liaison with the US based controllership, tax and finance teams across various business units
- Lead preparation of quarterly management reporting and local financial statements
- Support the FP\&A team in certain aspects of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- 3 years of accounting, audit and/or tax experience, preferably within public accounting
- CPA designation
- Expertise in Reporting, GAAP, Financial Analysis, Accounting and related Financial processes.
- Proven ability to drive efficiency and streamline processes.
- Proficiency in modeling \& analysis; above average Excel skills.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish trust quickly
