Randstad Victoria is now looking for sheet metal experience for a client in the North Saanich area. This is a great opportunity starting at the end of May 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal work and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
- Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
- Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, or other forms of adhesives
- Install assemblies, such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and air conditioning ducts, furnace casings, rain gutters, and downspouts
- Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, and micrometers
- Repair and maintain sheet metal products
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of experience in sheet metal work
- Ability to follow instructions
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
