We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our all-season team. This position involves operating various types of equipment for both landscaping and snow removal on residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, compact loaders, trenchers, and Bobcats.
- Perform snow removal during winter using plows, blowers, and salt spreaders on driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots.
- Transport and place landscaping materials such as topsoil, aggregates, and decorative stone.
- Use trenchers and mini backhoes to dig for irrigation, drainage, and landscape lighting systems.
- Operate compactors and paving tools to install and maintain walkways, patios, and small driveways.
- Grade and level surfaces to ensure proper drainage and prepare for sod, stone, or asphalt installation.
- Clear overgrown brush, small trees, and stumps to prepare land for landscaping projects.
- Assist in property cleanup including leaf and debris removal using loaders, blowers, and collection equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and refueling as part of routine maintenance.
- Follow site plans and client specifications while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment in landscaping or snow removal.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 or higher).
- Strong understanding of job site safety and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and follow site plans and supervisor instructions.
- Flexibility to work in all weather conditions and seasonal demands.
Wage: $25/hour + 4% vacation pay
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
