Job Title: Line Cook

Salary: $18.00 -- $21.00 per hour

We are hiring a reliable and skilled Line Cook on behalf of our client, a busy and well-regarded restaurant in Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, enjoys preparing high-quality meals, and values teamwork and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation \& Cooking
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes
- Ensure food is cooked and presented to high quality standards
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Assist with stocking and rotating inventory
Team Collaboration
- Work alongside chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Communicate effectively to coordinate kitchen flow during busy periods
Quality Assurance
- Monitor portion sizes and presentation standards
- Report any equipment issues or food supply shortages to the supervisor
Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts (morning, day, evening, or split)
- Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a line cook (within Canada)
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience (outside Canada)
- English proficiency with CLB 6 or higher
- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage: $18.00 -- $21.00
