Title: Business Analyst Lead
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid)
Role Overview: This position is within Group Functions Technology, focusing on financial risk, data analytics, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics. The candidate will be responsible for understanding user data needs, utilizing the current tech stack, and delivering solutions. The role is primarily technical (80%) but requires some understanding of financial risk and capital markets. It also involves managing an overseas junior resource, requiring leadership abilities.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- Experience Level: 10+ years in similar role
- Expertise in Microsoft Technologies like SQL, Microsoft Azure
- Prior experience in building OLAP and OLTP-based data analytics and business intelligence systems;
- Middleware integrations tools like Kafka, BizTalk
- Requirement Gathering, Business Requirement Documentation (BRD), Power BI, Synapse, Power Automate
Strong technical expertise with:
- Azure
- SQL Server
- Middleware technologies (understanding of API integration and connectivity).
- Need a senior individual as some projects are already ongoing. Experience in solution delivery and executing ongoing projects.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders , validate work, and delegate tasks.
- Strong data analytics and business analysis capabilities.
- Power BI familiarity -- should be able to write logic and work with the underlying data layers.
- Leadership ability -- to validate the work of the junior resource, delegate tasks etc.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Financial risk and capital markets domain knowledge.
- Master's degree.
