Job Description Museum Administration Assistant Location North Saanich, BC V8L 5V5 :
The British Columbia Aviation Museum is looking for one summer student work as an Museum Administration Assistant in operations.
The Museum Administration Assistant will work alongside the Assistant Director on projects and tasks that will aid with the operation of the museum while broadening their skill set. The tasks are as follows;

Work with the Executive Director and Museum Administrator on any projects or tasks that may be beneficial to the summer student's education and the operation of the museum;

Assist the Assistant Director with planning future events occurring at the museum, specifically the open house fundraiser;

Assisting with filing and files management;

Answering public questions from phone and email;

Posting and monitoring the museum social media accounts;

Creating identify cards and maintaining the museum volunteer, membership and annual pass data bases;

Assisting with other museum tasks when required; cashier, and assisting in Artifacts and Archives when needed;
This position is support by Canada Youth Summer Jobs. To apply for this job, you must:
- Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal, Internship / Co-opContract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.85 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
