Position:
We are seeking an IT Business Analyst for one of our clients, an investment bank based in Montreal.
Role Overview:
The team needs an IT Business Analyst to work on various topics across Commercial Banking, Finance, and Risk domains. The role involves leading the design, development, and deployment of solutions to business requests within these domains. A strong understanding of Commercial Banking processes and systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the delivery of solutions to meet business needs.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their objectives and requirements.
- Gather, interpret, and present business problems and implications, influencing project outcomes.
- Conduct requirements gathering, design solutions, develop functionalities, perform user acceptance testing, and oversee training and deployment.
- Write requirements, develop user stories, and design user interfaces for new functionalities.
- Understand data models and architecture to define data structures for new system functionalities.
- Assess the suitability of existing or potential tools to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Business Management, IT, and vendors to develop and implement applications and tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and SME for the domain on functional topics and projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of business analysis, project management, and data management disciplines.
- 7+ years of experience in IT management or consulting roles.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and priorities.
- Effective presentation and communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Power BI, and SQL.
Language:
French is a plus.
