Job description:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Evening Production and Sanitation Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising employees assigned to afternoon Production and Evening Sanitation. He/she plays a key role in identifying and resolving Production and Sanitation-related problems and ensures rigorous follow-up with his/her manager. In addition to his or her management responsibilities, he or she plays an active part in Production and Sanitation-related tasks and ensures that health and hygiene objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily tasks of Afternoon Production and Sanitation employees, while maintaining a positive and professional work atmosphere.
- Train employees on cleaning procedures and techniques, ensuring compliance with GFSI and HACCP standards.
- Actively participate in daily cleaning and sanitation tasks, as required.
- Plan and supervise weekly, monthly and annual cleaning of equipment and premises.
- Complete daily pre-operational inspection files to ensure sanitation in compliance with company standards.
- Identify operational problems and propose appropriate solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with the Director of Operations, the Day Production Supervisor, and other plant personnel to ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Lead weekly meetings with employees and/or management.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards (HACCP/GFSI) and applicable laws.
- Collaborate in the follow-up and correction of non-conformities identified by the Quality Department.
- Motivate, mobilize and evaluate staff, while ensuring rigorous follow-up with management.
- Contribute to major and critical clean-ups as required.
- Complete and maintain required documentation.
- Apply and promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Always ensure the health and safety of staff.
- Assume any other responsibility compatible with his/her function, as directed by his/her immediate superior.
Qualifications:
- Technical college diploma or other relevant training preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience.
- Significant experience in the food industry (a major asset).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software.
- Availability to work the afternoon / evening shift (3:30PM to 12:00AM -- variable according to requirements Monday to Friday).
