Reporting to the Talent \& Culture Director, the bilingual Talent \& Culture Lead serves as a resource for LLSC employees, with primary responsibilities including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and Health \& Safety. The role involves working with regions to ensure all employees have access to development opportunities related to blood cancers and personal growth.
This primarily home-based and remote role may involve up to 20% of time spent out of the office, including meetings with employees, leadership, and attending events. You can choose between online and in-person interactions, considering accessibility and with managerial guidance as needed. Travel may include up to one trip twice a year across Canada, with potential for up to eight trips annually depending on work demands. Core hours may vary to meet the needs of employees and constituents, allowing flexible time management.

What We Will Do Together
- Talent Acquisition and Job Descriptions: Identify recruitment needs, lead hiring, coordinate onboarding, and update job descriptions.
- Performance Appraisals: Manage quarterly reviews via HRIS (Bamboo), ensure timely completion, develop staff growth plans, and address performance issues.
- Payroll and Benefits Management: Ensure timely receipt of payroll documents, administer benefits, RRSP, and EFAP plans.
- Recruitment: Manage full cycle recruitment, uphold fair processes, liaise with hiring managers.
- Other Duties: Lead health \& safety initiatives, maintain knowledge of legislation, develop policies, identify operational concerns, and support organizational performance.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
- Fully bilingual in French \& English
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Preferably 3+ years in Canadian national charity or non-profit sector
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience
- Strong knowledge of Ontario legislation (ESA, OHSA, AODA, WSIB, Human Rights) and comparable laws elsewhere
- Proficiency in HR document development (job descriptions, policies, etc.)
- Leadership and negotiation skills
- MS Office proficiency
- Project management skills
- Part 1 and 2 certifications for Joint Health \& Safety Committee
- Experience with remote staff and/or non-profit sector is an asset
