Shifts: Variable 24/7 and On-call (Casual shift: Must be available for Day, Evening, and Night shifts including weekends and Stat Holidays)

Position Summary
Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging departments in Canada! With 750,000+ exams annually, we set the standard for clinical excellence. Our digital technology and dedicated team of over 700 staff and 90 radiologists focus on patient care and image quality. The JDMI is committed to ongoing education and quality assurance, and is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute. The role involves non-invasive imaging techniques to visualize internal structures, including organs, tissues, and blood flow. As a team member, you will provide diagnostic services and uphold high patient care standards.
Duties
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ultrasound and related imaging equipment
- Document procedures and test results via written and electronic reports
- Participate in teaching, safety, and quality improvement activities
- Perform related patient care responsibilities to ensure optimal care
Qualifications
- Current registration with the CMRITO and compliance with annual continuing education requirements
- Completion of a BCLS Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
- Membership with Sonography Canada preferred
- Registration with ARDMS in OB and Abdomen preferred
- Sensitivity towards patients in challenging situations
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Good judgment to ensure safety and patient interest
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes
