DSEL is looking for a dynamic and driven professional to enhance our Quality Assurance team. As our QA Engineer, you will be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary team of civil engineers and software developers. Your involvement will span across all facets of subdivision design, including grading, underground infrastructure design, and stormwater management, ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our automation software projects.
The QA Engineer serves as a vital link between the design department and the automation development team, collating all engineering constraints and design inputs to deliver top-tier designs within optimal timeframes. Responsibilities:
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND TECHNOLOGY
- Learn, test, and apply new and emerging software.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of DSEL's proprietary software and tools.
- Offer feedback to developers from a civil engineering standpoint and on user functionality of the software and tools.
- Contribute to the evolution and standardization of DSEL's design process.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of software to ensure compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects and ensure software quality.
- Document Test results, track defects, and communicate finding to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in subdivision or municipal engineering.
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD and proficient general computer skills including Excel and Word.
- Detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and are keen on continuously acquiring new skills.
- Able to articulate your ideas effectively in both technical and non-technical terms, in writing and verbally.
- Highly-driven, organized, and thrive in a team setting.
