We have just launched our online library of Climate Change news and articles, and are entering a phase of development and expansion. This will require different skill sets. We are looking for a leader for a small team.
You must have experience working with volunteers.
TEAM LEADER
Supports and guides other team members.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
RECRUITING
- Create and post job openings.
- Handle responses and pass them to the hiring manager. Track the process.
- Screen candidates and recommend suitable applications to the hiring manager.
- Arrange interviews and communicate outcomes to candidates.
- Participate in or conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.
ONBOARDING
- Plan and conduct onboarding sessions.
- Ensure volunteers receive assignments and are introduced to their Team Lead.
- Arrange signing of Non-Disclosure Agreements.
ASSIGNMENT
- This role does not include Volunteer Management responsibilities. Managing performance is part of the Business Team Lead's role.
- The volunteer team will maintain a Skills Inventory.
RETAINING
- Retention is challenging in voluntary organizations.
- This person should recommend and implement actions and processes to improve retention.
REPORTING
- Focuses on process metrics rather than formal performance reviews.
- We need to track volunteer duration, success rates in hiring, etc.
