What is the opportunity?
The Director, Global IGA Governance will manage a team responsible for overseeing the RBC Enterprise Intragroup Arrangement (IGA) framework. This role will work closely with Regional IGA Offices, business platforms and functional groups to align RBC with Third Party Risk management IGA policies. This role will also directly manage the Regional IGA Office for Canada and the Caribbean.
What will you do?
- Manage the Global IGA Governance Office which is responsible for overseeing the RBC framework for IGAs to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Manage the execution and monitoring of RBC IGA's for Canada and the Caribbean including issue escalations.
- Partner with Regional IGA Offices to act as the global point of contact for IGA identification and refinement.
- Serve as subject matter expert for IGAs working closely with Third Party Risk, Compliance and Finance to provide guidance to engagement owners and other stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence through identifying and improving gaps in processes and implementing strategies to increase risk awareness across the organization.
- Create and maintain reporting on key metrics to executives, risk committees and third-party risk and complete risk assessments to ensure key metrics are met.
- Oversee enterprise IGA monitoring and tooling (e.g. IGA repository), to ensure compliance to TPR policies to ensure activities are aligned to the overall program goals.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3- 5 years of experience in risk and governance practices, third party risk frameworks and methodologies at a financial institution.
- 5 years of people management experience, recognized for leadership and coaching capabilities.
- Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills with peers, senior management, executives, regulators and other external partners.
- Bachelor of Degree.
Nice-to-have
- Direct experience developing or managing IGAs.
- Change management, process design, transformation and project management skillsets to deliver key benefits to an organization.
