Guest Experience Manager
As a Guest Experience Manager (GEM) at Impact Kitchen, you set the hospitality standard high and are passionate about ensuring guests enjoy their experience. You will be responsible for leading the front-of-house team to success, creating positive interactions at all moments in the guest's journey, and fostering a sense of community. You will partner with Culinary Experience team members to ensure teamwork.
The Guest Experience Team is the first point of contact in our guest's journey and the last point before they leave.
Compensation
Guest Experience Managers earn $50,000 per year with an opportunity for a $5,000 yearly bonus. Benefits include a tip-pooling program, a meal stipend, a substantial discount on Impact Kitchen products, and flexible scheduling to support a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Team \& Department
Guest Experience Managers impact daily operations by leading front-of-house activities, supporting the Restaurant General Manager in running a profitable business, and embodying Impact Kitchen's brand and values. Responsibilities include maintaining assets, leading recruitment, training, scheduling, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with colleagues at various organizational levels. The GEM reports to the Restaurant General Manager.
Core Responsibilities
Daily:
- Provide exceptional hospitality to guests, vendors, and delivery partners.
- Review daily reports and understand operational focus areas as directed by the GM.
- Perform daily systems checks, review the manager logbook, and follow up on action plans.
- Coach staff, set the tone, and drive standards through training and role modeling. Lead huddles and recognize team achievements.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and communicate effectively with management.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence, following up on concerns as needed.
Weekly:
- Review KPIs and discuss opportunities with the GM.
- Manage inventory, maintain supply levels, track invoices, and reconcile petty cash.
- Oversee scheduling aligned with sales and business needs; produce weekly payroll and tip reports.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for team development.
Monthly:
- Conduct business reviews with the GM, analyze KPIs, and develop action plans.
- Complete staff performance reviews and updates.
Quarterly:
- Organize town halls, culture events, and leadership training.
- Participate in management strategy meetings and discuss personal and career development.
Annual:
- Contribute to the location's annual budget planning.
Always:
- Act as a brand ambassador for Impact Kitchen.
- Maintain qualification in all aspects of front-of-house leadership.
Skills
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant team leadership and management experience.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Champion for food safety and public health practices.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- Barista experience preferred.
