POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Manager, Parking Operations and Maintenance, and in collaboration with other departments, the Supervisor provides day-to-day front-line supervision and direction of field staff engaged in the consistent delivery of high-quality custodial maintenance and ambassadorial services in support of operational excellence and an exceptional Green P customer experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Scheduling and Allocation
- Effective planning, preparation, assignment, ongoing adjustment, and time-tracking of daily work shift schedules for Custodial Maintenance and Ambassadorial staff.
- Provision of field supervision, technical support, and oversight in the conduct of staff duties.
Supervision and Employee Relations
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment through compliance with applicable employment regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Ensure staff competency with building systems, custodial maintenance equipment, work standards, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all staff receive necessary/mandatory training, with regular refreshers to keep skills current.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring organizational objectives are met.
- Act as escalation point for staff and customer concerns, investigating and resolving issues.
- Facilitate change management initiatives, including resource allocation.
- Implement SOPs and oversee revenue control programs.
- Model behaviors embodying the organization's Core Values, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and repair.
- Initiate disciplinary actions as necessary, liaising with the Union per Collective Agreement.
Facilities Supervision
- Oversee the condition of facilities and building systems, recommending operational adjustments.
- Report on facilities and equipment condition daily; coordinate repairs and maintenance.
- Work with external contractors and assist in managing maintenance contracts.
- Manage assets and inventories, including vehicles and equipment.
- Monitor building systems and safety equipment.
- Coordinate with community and internal stakeholders for events and passes.
- Oversee external contractors and promote staff accountability and customer service.
Qualifications, Education \& Experience
- Post-secondary education plus at least 3 years' experience in facility maintenance, operations, or parking management.
- Union supervision experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, contract management, and maintenance equipment is an asset.
- Experience in commercial cleaning and staff scheduling.
- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP or similar systems.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health \& Safety regulations.

Working Conditions
- Valid Class G Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
- Frequent travel between facilities.
- Various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and emergency responses.
- Ability to negotiate traffic and interact courteously with the public and officials.
