The MyeliNeuroGene Research Laboratory, directed by Dr. Geneviève Bernard, MD, MSc, a clinician-scientist, is looking for a motivated person to fill the position of full-time Clinical Research Coordinator. The team specializes in rare, genetic white matter diseases, leukodystrophies, and related disorders. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the incumbent will lead the clinical team, and be involved in several projects such as natural history studies and Next-Generation Sequencing. The incumbent will also participate in the execution of various clinical research activities including research subject recruitment, protocol compliance, contribute to clinical student supervision and training, as well as grant writing.
General Duties
• Coordinate patient visits (recruitment, organize clinical assessments, distribution of questionnaires),
• Coordination and shipment of biological samples (e.g., blood, fibroblasts, autopsies),
• Management of patient database,
• Management of lab's research protocols and communication with the MUHC REB,
• Supervise and train clinical student researchers,
• Contribute to grant writing,
• Complete other tasks as requested by the PI. #J-18808-Ljbffr
