Under the guidance of the Director and other senior leaders within the Marketing team, deliver corporate hosted events from end-to-end, ensuring superior representation and quality to strengthen CIBC Mellon's reputation among target audiences.

Track and report costs, supporting the efficient use of budget and effective planning.

Plans, organizes and executes hosted conferences and client events within CIBC Mellon and CIBC locations as well as virtual events as per event strategy.

Support selected execution of CIBC Mellon presence and placement at third-party conferences (e.g. booths, display marketing) as needed in collaboration with other members of marketing and corporate communications.

Contribute to detailed event tracking and planning activities, including maintaining relevant event reporting for management, management of various vendor review and approval process (as per third party governance standards), submissions to accounts payable.

Build relationships with event stakeholders, including CIBC event marketing counterparts and internal stakeholders such as senior leadership, client management, business development and event spokespeople.

Contribute to event marketing activities at all levels, including assisting in review and recommendations related to venues, promotional materials, A/V, signage, sponsorships.

Identify best practices, cost savings, efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement in event activities.

Deliver effective reporting, calendars, and project recaps to support data-driven decision-making while measuring effectiveness.

Professionally represent CIBC Mellon at conferences and events as needed (e.g. welcome desks, conference booths).

Assistance in covering reception and welcome experience, coverage scheduled to support reception and hospitality needs as needed.

Vendor research, negotiation, selection, oversight, diligence \& governance of relevant event and hospitality suppliers to ensure strong performance on behalf of CIBC Mellon.

Efficient and effective deployment of hospitality resources.

3-5 years of event management or hospitality experience within Financial Services.

Professional communicator, able to interact with clients and senior leaders in a manner consistent with CIBC Mellon's brand.

Project management skills, able to manage multiple competing deadlines.

Estimated in-office 3-4 days per week.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (e.g. boxes, booth components)

Occasionally works time-shifted hours to support morning or evening events.

Some travel required to support hosted and sponsored events across Canada.
