Job Description Job Summary
Accountabilities
- Research and consult within the Social Mission department and with TSA ministry units to identify critical learning needs and develop a report to inform future work of the SM Strategy and Support team.
- Use research that has been conducted (especially pertaining to Program Planning and Evaluation, Grief and Loss) and formulate these into a structure that could be used to present a series of online courses for TSA Social Mission employees.
- Develop a guide for subject matter experts / specialists to follow when developing a course for online learning.
- Participate in team and department meetings as scheduled.
Experience And Skilled Knowledge Requirements
- Post-secondary student or completed undergraduate degree. Preference will be given to those in the social work or human services field.
- Applicant must meet the Canada Summer Jobs program requirements.
- Respect and understanding of The Salvation Army - its mission, culture, and values
Skills And Capabilities (examples Provided Below)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid research skills
- Understanding of individuals of diverse social and cultural backgrounds
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office
CANADA SUMMER JOBS: To be eligible, students must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
