Reports to:Senior Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements and conducting investigations.
- Process employee complaints such as, sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
- In collaboration with Senior HR Manager, VP of Human Resources and other key stakeholders, implement annual HR plans that address key business objectives.
- Supports the development, interpretation and continual updating of Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.
- Acts as a resource/consultant to leadership.
- Prepares and provides assigned Key Performance Indicators.
- Supports in the development, execution, and rollout of projects and programs.
- Develop, participate, and communicate employee engagement initiatives and organize all company social activities.
- Fosters positive employee relations.
- Providing administrative support, data analysis, and reporting to the Senior HR Manager
- Providing day-to-day support to employees
- Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related but not limited to conflict resolution.
- Support necessary course of action between managers and employees to drive positive outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity through all courses of actions.
- Work collaboratively with HR team, management, and employees.
- Respond to employee questions, resolve, or escalate as required.
- Assist employees and managers with interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Reinforce company policy, rules, and procedures to ensure employees' safety.
- Assist with training \& development of team members.
- Oversee Performance Review Structure \& Management
- Compliance with all rules \& policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety \& GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 years of experience working in a human resources role, manufacturing environment is preferred
- Knowledge of HR legislation, Health \& Safety legislation, and Employment Law
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to mentor and lead staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Ability to maintain discretion \& confidentiality
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
