Overview
As a Senior Account Manager, Influencer and PR, you will partner with clients to pursue innovative creative strategies, identify emerging trends, execute programs, and develop relationships. Success depends on your ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a passionate leader with strong creative, strategic, and organizational skills. You should be a creative and analytical thinker capable of developing cross-channel influencer and PR strategies. You will manage influencer strategies, programs, and teams, with a solid understanding of the evolving PR landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic influencer/PR plans aligned with client KPIs and business goals.
- Create strategies that may include social/content, experiential, and event components.
- Lead day-to-day client interactions and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Stay informed of trends, insights, opportunities, and risks in the influencer and PR landscapes.
- Support PR and influencer communications, including media pitching and content creation.
- Draft and edit communications materials such as editorial pieces, briefing books, influencer workbooks, and social content.
- Represent the agency in Integrated Agency Teams (IATs) and foster strong internal relationships.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior team members, promoting a positive team culture.
- Oversee influencer and PR program execution, managing workbacks, budgets, vendors, and reporting.
- Leverage existing relationships with influencers and media outlets across Canada.
- Utilize platforms like CreatorIQ, Traackr, Meltwater, and Cision for campaign management and monitoring.
- Analyze data and provide insights to optimize campaign performance.
- Address pivots and problem-solving to ensure project success and protect brand reputation.
- Participate in forecasting, resourcing, and budget management for client accounts, collaborating with senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 7-9 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, or related fields.
- Agency experience focused on media and influencer relations preferred.
- Bachelor's and postgraduate degrees in PR, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or related disciplines.
- A genuine curiosity and commitment to staying current with influencer and PR trends.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with clients and partners.
- Experience in traditional PR and media relations.
- Ability to manage upward and downward effectively.
- Deep understanding of influencer processes from research to reporting.
- Robust relationships with influencers and influencer agencies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and social/digital paid media strategies.
- Understanding of community management and organic/paid social strategies.
- Proactive, self-starting attitude with leadership qualities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse relationships and vendors.
- Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and create compelling creative outputs.
- Flexibility and agility in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience working with integrated agencies across PR, creative, experiential, and media buying disciplines.
