Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant for our public sector client in Toronto. The role involves supporting the accounting team with accounting, banking, and reporting services, including maintaining General Ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, preparing journals, and assisting with financial analysis, cash flow reporting, and audits.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, with a professional designation.
- Strong knowledge of government accounting standards (PSAS) and GAAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written skills for reports and management materials.
- Methodical, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work onsite or hybrid as needed.
Experience in the public, broader public, or not-for-profit sectors is preferred. Ontario Public Service retirees are encouraged to apply.
