About The Role
Small Enterprise Businesses (SME) are vital to local economies, fostering prosperity through financial interconnection. NFP's SME division supports local organizations in staying safe and on track. Our team identifies trends, anticipates challenges, and curates solutions to help these businesses grow.
We're seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to handle incoming new business requests, develop and maintain client and carrier relationships, collaborate with backend service teams, and oversee renewals of existing business.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to identify exposures, recommend appropriate solutions, and explain their benefits.
- Develop marketing specifications and remarketing strategies for renewals.
- Network within the community by attending industry events and training.
- Provide prompt, professional customer service via phone and email for new and existing accounts, addressing questions on coverage, billing, claims, audits, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
- Maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and NFP staff.
Qualifications
- RIBO license is required; out-of-province licenses are an asset.
- Over 2 years of commercial insurance experience in servicing, broking, or underwriting.
- Experience with SME to Mid-Market coverage placement.
- Effective communication skills, emotional intelligence, and client-focused approach.
- Technical competency and creativity in property and casualty solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and sound decision-making ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; EPIC experience is an asset.
