About the Role:
As a Utility QA/QC Analyst (Contract/Part-Time), your primary focus will be on ensuring quality, consistency, and accuracy in the review of aerial inspection data related to overhead utility infrastructure. You will be responsible for executing QA/QC workflows, identifying discrepancies, and providing structured feedback that supports continuous improvement across utility inspection projects.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and process integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structured quality control reviews of inspection data and imagery for overhead utility infrastructure.
- Identify, classify, and verify defects or issues based on engineering standards and internal QA protocols.
- Execute QA/QC processes across work packages, including defect validation, audit sampling, and process checks.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to internal teams to promote consistent data interpretation and accuracy.
- Document QA findings and support the refinement of standard operating procedures.
- Participate in team calibration efforts and ongoing QA/QC training to ensure alignment with industry and internal standards.
- Stay informed on relevant industry QA standards, such as NESC and utility defect classifications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in utility inspection, QA/QC, or a related quality-focused role (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and process-oriented thinking (must-have).
- Familiarity with defect classification systems and engineering standards for overhead utilities.
- Experience with QA documentation, audit tracking, or reporting tools (nice-to-have).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- A passion for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
