Job Description:
This position is within Independent Insurance Distribution at Sun Life Insurance Solutions. The role involves promoting, educating, and selling Sun Life insurance products to independent advisors, with a focus on engaging new advisors to expand our product offerings.
The Opportunity:
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors to generate insurance sales through advisors in MGA and National Account channels.
- Build relationships through daily phone contact with advisors and specialists.
- Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus commission; some roles may have different salary ranges.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect new advisors and follow up on leads to increase sales.
- Enhance productivity of existing advisors with limited Sun Life insurance business.
- Promote Sun Life product illustrations and sales strategies.
- Support advisors with case-specific guidance to understand products and processes.
- Assist in competitive situations to help win sales.
- Provide training on life and health products and sales strategies via phone and virtual tools.
- Participate in outreach campaigns to raise awareness of team support.
- Identify potential advisor opportunities proactively.
- Contribute to sales initiatives and campaigns to increase market share.
- Develop regional tactical plans with the Regional Director.
- Maintain knowledge of current and future product offerings.
- Use Salesforce for activity and opportunity management.
- Respond to inquiries about Sun Life's life and health products.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
- Knowledge of life and health insurance products.
- Understanding of the independent distribution channel.
- Life license is an asset.
- Problem-solving and complaint resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in sales discovery conversations.
- Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
