Career Opportunity What You Will Do

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. Business Administration), combined with several years of related work experience with capital projects having multi-year, significant cash flows and budgets, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent

Certification with the AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) is considered an asset

Good knowledge of standard accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, methods and practices

Applied knowledge of computerized financial systems, database design concepts, spreadsheets and computerized cost analysis methods and practices
-
Basic knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, and scheduling software, is an asset
-
Formal training/certification in project management is a definite asset

Apply analytical skills

Manage projects

Maintain documentation and historical records

Use office technology, software and applications

Apply the principles and practices of quality assurance

Perform relevant mathematical calculations and statistical analyses
