RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for successfully building and executing strategic territory plans, accelerating partnerships with key HCPs, accounts, and health systems stakeholders in targeted therapeutic areas. This strategy will be executed in alignment with GSK Values and Mission: to unite science, talent, and technology to get ahead of disease together. Reporting directly to the Regional Business Manager, Specialty Care Vaccines, this field-based role will be accountable for:
Ontario Southwest
- Territory covering all of Ontario Southwest, including Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington, Windsor, Sarnia, Niagara, Mississauga (west/Oakville/Orangeville), and as far north as Owen Sound.
- This KAM role is ideally suited for someone living in Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington, or London areas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with targeted therapeutic HCPs and administrative leaders to drive process implementation within programs, accounts, and health systems/networks.
- Develop a deep understanding of local therapeutic patient journeys and key decision makers' objectives to identify partnership opportunities aligned with commercial goals.
- Apply entrepreneurial mindset, innovative approaches, and foster cross-functional communication \& collaboration.
- Contribute to a performance-driven environment with a positive attitude and accountability for achieving objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic territory account plans to exceed commercial performance targets.
- Build and grow a network of external HCP and administrative stakeholders, understanding communication flows and vaccination decision points.
- Gather insights into programs, accounts, and health systems to develop innovative customer solutions.
- Engage stakeholders in scientific discussions to promote appropriate brand prescription.
- Embrace digital/virtual engagement channels for timely and relevant communication.
- Leverage internal and external resources to deliver tailored customer value.
- Make agile decisions focusing on key business needs, while maintaining a strategic overview.
- Manage territory budgets to optimize impact and ROI.
- Provide ongoing analysis of market dynamics and contribute to planning and mitigation strategies.
- Lead regular performance reviews with commercial leadership.
- Demonstrate understanding and application of GSK values and code.
- Travel overnight for external conferences as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 3 years in institutional specialty sales or KAM roles.
- Strong understanding of key account management principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both virtual and in person.
- Ability to articulate complex content clearly.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and collaborative.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Quick insight-to-implementation skills.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments.
- Experience in budget management and ROI analysis.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning new technologies.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Specialty Care KAM (preferably in Rheumatology, Dermatology, or Gastroenterology).
- Proven performance in program, account, and health systems markets.
- Bilingual in English and French.
*Position involves routine driving and provision of a company vehicle, contingent on license verification and safe driving record.
