Your contribution
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will oversee electrical designs, construction, and compliance for renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, Hydro). Your responsibilities include managing field implementation, ensuring regulatory and safety standards, supporting bidding and contracts, providing engineering and commissioning support, and collaborating across disciplines to optimize project development, execution, and operations.
Your day-to-day
- Review electrical designs for Wind, Solar, Hydro, and other technologies; supervise/manage field implementation.
- Oversee interconnection construction, network and interconnection facility upgrades, and evaluate interconnection agreement compliance.
- Review draft specifications and documentation for EPC contracts and/or engineering consultants. Review electrical designs and studies.
- Support bidding processes, RFP development, proposal analysis, and provide technical input into major contracts such as equipment supply, power purchase, and balance of plant agreements.
- Review and approve drawings to ensure all standards and safety codes are met.
- Respond to RFIs, review and approve submittals.
- Provide construction site engineering and commissioning support, including inspection and monitoring of electrical installations.
- Develop operating procedures, joint operating orders, and work instructions to comply with regulatory bodies.
- Support the reliability compliance team by interpreting standards and supporting external audits.
- Oversee testing and electrical compliance studies during commissioning and operations.
- Provide operational and project management support to facilities, including troubleshooting, equipment performance analysis, warranty claims, and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with other technical disciplines, project management, construction, accounting, and finance teams throughout project phases.
Your skills, our requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- P.E./P.Eng. certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience in renewable energy or heavy industry preferred.
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical designs, ideally with wind or solar projects.
- Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) is required for collaboration outside Québec.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000, excluding benefits and bonuses. Final salary offers depend on skills, education, and experience, considering internal equity. We value pay transparency and are committed to pay equity.
